Services

Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your companions feeling their best.

Not only that, but we genuinely make an effort to minimize stress and maximize enjoyment for each appointment for every pet!

Diagnostics

Our hospital is equipped to provide many tests in-house, such as;

Complete blood counts

Full serum chemistry

Urinalysis

Fine needle aspirates for masses & lumps

Dermatologic (skin) testing

Ocular (eye) testing

We also provide extensive testing through outside laboratories to arrive at more complex diagnoses.

Radiology & ECG

Our on-site, x-ray equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disorders.

More complex radiographs can be submitted for reading to a certified veterinary radiologist, as well.

We provide ECG services on-site, to evaluate heart health, as well as referrals to cardiology specialists in more difficult cases.

Our dental services include a full examination of each tooth and the gums, as well as radiographs (x-rays) of each tooth to assess the roots and bones. After charting each tooth, they are cleaned and polished to leave a fresher, more pleasant mouth!

We also provide sealant services for chips and fractures, extractions (pulling) for broken and diseased teeth, and oral surgery, as needed.

Our surgical suite allows for a wide variety of surgical procedures. We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high-risk patients. Our technicians take pride in providing continuous patient-side monitoring. Pulse oximetry and ECG are used, as well, to insure safety during anesthetic procedures.

Dr. Klone has interest in orthopedics and enjoys learning advanced surgical procedures. She has been attending continuing education seminars to expand her abilities and learn new techniques.

We are now able to perform MMP for cruciate ruptures and bone plating for fracture repairs!

One of our new pieces of equipment. This wonderful device allows us to reduce inflammation and pain with laser treatments.

Why a laser? Because it allows us to help even more! We can use it in addition to any medications, as well as in situations where anti-inflammatory medications are not safe. We use it post-operatively to reduce the pain of surgery. We can use it on open wounds to speed up healing and decrease the risk of infection. We use it after dental extractions to reduce pain, too. We can use it to improve mobility and reduce pain in our elderly, arthritis patients.  It is nearly immediate relief with absolutely minimal risks of side effects.

Consultations

We offer two main types of consultation: Behavior & Weight Loss.

Behavior consultations: Both of our doctors have experience in training and behavior. We are happy to help evaluate behavioral problems and offer treatment suggestions, as well as medications, if indicated. These consultations are usually 45-60 minutes each.

Weight loss: Our doctors and technicians work together to evaluate your pet's calorie needs, as well as their current diet. We will develop a specialized plan for your pet to aid in weight loss. Did you know being an ideal weight can add 2 years to your pet's life!?

Microchipping

All of our staff agrees, microchipping is the best way to permanently identify your pet. It reduces the risk of your pet being lost and unable to find their way home.

We offer HomeAgain microchips, exclusively. Our implantation includes registration of your chip with your contact information.

We even offer a discount to our new patients to encourage early microchipping. $10 off during any new patient visit, puppy or kitten wellness exam, or spay/neuter visit!
